The 11th ISSE Conference was held 6 - 8 October 2009 in The Hague, The Netherlands.

In 2009 the Information Security Solutions Europe was again organized by TeleTrusT in cooperation with eema (Independent European e-Identity & Security Association) and ENISA (European Network and Information Security Agency). The cooperation partner in The Hague was the Municipality of The Hague.

Since its foundation in 1999 ISSE aims at encouraging the development and distribution of trustworthy concepts within the information and communication security in Europe and worldwide. In an interdisciplinary dialogue international experts from commerce, research and politics exchange thoughts on technical, organizational and legal aspects of information security. An accompanying exhibition giving companies and organisations the opportunity to present their newest solutions and technologies combines theory and practice. ISSE has become an inherent part of each year’s conference calendar since 1999 and thus belongs to the most important IT-Security conferences worldwide.

From the beginning on TeleTrusT has been responsible for the coordination of the ISSE Programme Commitee work and compiles the conference programme together with the 28 renowned experts of the PC.
