Das Sekretariat für das CEN-Projekt "CEN Workshop Agreement: Global eBusiness Interoperability Test Bed (GITB)" hat einen Dokumentenentwurf für "endorsement before final publication" veröffentlicht, der für TeleTrusT-Mitglieder verfügbar ist.
Am 02.12.2011 fand in den Räumlichkeiten von TeleTrusT in Berlin die 1. Sitzung des neu gegründeten europäischen Verbandes "Digital Trust and Compliance Europe" (DTCE) statt. TeleTrusT ist im Board of Directors vertreten, aus Deutschland ferner AuthentiDate.
"DTCE is a new trade association (formally registered under Belgian law) that represent the interests of ICT trust and compliance vendors and practitioners in Europe. DTCE’s founding companies want to ensure that the views and expertise of those who have invested in innovation and high quality delivery of ICT trust and compliance products and services are appropriately presented and taken into account in European policy debates about eSignatures, e-ID, e-procurement, e-invoicing and many other topics." www.dtce.eu
Am 01.12.2011 wurde in Amsterdam die "European Association for Biometrics" (EAB) etabliert:
"EAB Vision: The need for understanding and exploiting the current and emerging technologies and services for the automated recognition of human identity is of increasing importance to the economic and social welfare and deserves a concerted, multidisciplinary and sustained effort. The European context, with its unique diversity, interdependence, heritage and values creates special requirements and opportunities for the development of such biometric technologies and services to maximise the benefit for the citizens and to protect society from any possible adverse side effects. The European Association for Biometrics envisions and strives for a future where biometric and allied technologies are used in the service of Europe and for the benefit of all." www.eab.org
Für die "2nd International Biometric Performance Testing Conference (IBPC)" am 05./06.03.2012 in Gaithersburg (USA) wurde der "Call for papers" gestartet:
The IBPC 2012 call for papers seeks abstracts for papers and presentations addressing biometric performance, and measurement and specification thereof. All aspects of performance, from the design, through the initial human interaction, quality control, algorithmic function, to assurance and summarization are in scope. Abstracts could be 1-5 pages long, preferably in PDF format. These should be emailed to the organizers via ibpc2012(at)nist.gov.
