"European Transnational Information Security Cooperation ETISC - Application for a Coordination Action under the FP7 Cooperation Work Programme: Information and Communication Technologies ICT (Call 5 Objective ICT-2009.1.4: Trustworthy ICT)"
TeleTrusT beteiligt sich an einem gemeinsamen Projektantrag auf dem Gebiet "Vertrauenswürdigkeit von IT", zusammen mit seinem belgischen Partnerverband LSEC und weiteren Organisationen und Institutionen aus Estland, Frankreich, den Niederlanden. Polen, Spanien und Großbritannien.
Mit der Initiative wird die Gelegenheit ergriffen, die bereits bestehende qualitativ hochwertige Forschung in der EU auf dem Gebiet "Vertrauenswürdige IT und Informationssicherheit" weiterzuentwickeln. Die Initiative zielt darauf, die Sicherheitsforschung durch Zusammenarbeit einer Reihe von nationalen IT-Sicherheitsverbänden unter dem Dach der European Transnational Information Security Cooperation (“ETISC”) zu koordinieren.
ETISC:
ETISC is a unique coordination action as it unites the biggest European Information Security not for profit associations (national security clusters) representing Germany, UK, France, Spain, Poland, Belgium, and the Netherlands. These associations embody over 500 companies active in the domain of trustworthy ICT in Europe and have together over 50 years of experience in these activities. The clusters are already established, well-known and have proven their value at national level. They specialise in trustworthy ICT and information security and have strong ties with both the academia and the industry. ETSIC will ensure the value of these associations is realised at EU level. On a daily basis, they bring together academic research, industry innovation and the development of SME’s, on a local basis. With this initiative, these associations want to contribute to the coordination of Trustworthy ICT research in Europe, by pro-actively using their wide membership basis to reach out to security researchers, security competence centers, industry and governments in their countries. The main goals of this action are to coordinate national security clusters and therefore strengthen the European research community and facilitate technology transfers by improving relationships between the research community and security industry in Europe.
Um dieses Anliegen zu verwirklichen, wird im Rahmen der Initiative eine Übersicht über bestehende IT-Sicherheitsforschungsaktivitäten erstellt, diese in Verbindung mit Forschungsbedarf der Industrie gesetzt und im Verlauf von drei geplanten Konferenzen und einer Serie von Workshops über die kommenden zwei Jahre
eine Erörterung im Rahmen nationaler bzw. regionaler IT-Sicherheitsforschungspläne angestoßen. Während des solcherart organisierten Networkings und der Herausarbeitung bestimmter Themen werden die Beteiligten ausgerichtet an gemeinsamen Zielen koordiniert. Europäische und lokale Ansprechpartner aus Industrie und Verwaltung erhalten die Gelegenheit, geeignete Experten zu treffen und Einfluss auf die Forschung im Interesse von know-how-Transfer zu nehmen. Die Ergebnisse werden dazu verwendet, die Anwendung vertrauenswürdiger IT in Europa zu stärken.
